Starting with Fitbit’s entry-level Inspire 2 tracker, Tile’s cloud-based finding platform will be live, helping users locate their lost tracker. Read our Fitbit Inspire 2 review. Inspire 2 users will be prompted to update their device software in the Fitbit app to add the Tile feature. They will then be directed to download the Tile app to activate the finding tool. All new Inspire 2 devices will also be capable of enabling Tile’s finding technology. If users misplace their Inspire 2 at home, they can use the Tile app to locate the lost device. If outside of Bluetooth range, they can use the Tile app to view its most recent location or leverage Tile’s global Network to find it. If the Inspire 2 is connected via Bluetooth to a phone, you can now use your Inspire 2 to ring your phone – even if it’s on silent. Additional features, such as Smart Alerts, can also be accessed with a Tile Premium subscription (£ 29.99 a year or £ 2.99 a month). With Tile’s Smart Alerts, the Tile app will notify you before you leave your Fitbit Inspire 2 behind when heading out of the house on a run, hike or walk. You can trial Tile Premium free for 30 days. Tile’s growing community spans 195 countries. Users activate the Tile community so that every phone running the Tile app can anonymously help you find your missing Fitbit. Although Tile works with only the Inspire 2 now, it should be expected that other trackers and smartwatches such as the Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense will later be integrated with the Tile technology.
