The phone is a return to a fully premium top of the line flagship after 2022’s OnePlus 10T brought some top tier specs but several downgrades on the OnePlus 10 Pro to drive the 10T’s price down. Here’s everything you need to know about the OnePlus 11 5G (to give it its annoying full name).
When will the OnePlus 11 be released?
The OnePlus 11 was launched in China on 4 January 2023, a full month before the global release event scheduled for 7 February in New Delhi, India. The phone’s official announcement is roughly in line with what we expected as OnePlus normally launches flagships each Spring, and in fact the OnePlus 10 Pro was revealed as early as January 2022 in China.
How much does the OnePlus 11 cost?
In China, the OnePlus 11 will cost from ¥3,999 ($580/£480) for the model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There’s also a ¥4,899 ($710/£590) version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Unfortunately when the phone is announced for the rest of the world, it’s likely to cost more than those conversions. As there’s no confirmation from OnePlus yet about global pricing, we’ll use the previous models to put us in the picture. Here’s the pricing of the last few flagships:

Given OnePlus has decided to go all-in on specs and features for the OnePlus 11, then it will probably be close to the price of the current 10 Pro outside of China. This might not quite work out this simply though, as the world-wide chip shortage, plus the disruptions to manufacturing and distribution caused by Covid and the Ukrainian invasion by Russia are all beginning to drive up prices.
What features and specs does the OnePlus 11 have?
Oddly, the Chinese launch did not fully reveal all the specs of the OnePlus 11, and OnePlus did not provide us with full specs details, but here is what we do know the handset has:

This is most of the core specs of the phone, which joins the iQoo 11 and Vivo X90 Pro Plus in having Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. OnePlus claims the 8 Gen 2 offers a 35% faster CPU and 25% faster GPU performance but did not specify which chipset these percentages were in relation to. The 8+ Gen 1 found in the OnePlus 10T drove very high end performance though. We think at least one of those specs will change for the phone’s US launch. The usually reliable leaker Max Jambor has reported that the US release of the OnePlus 11 will “only” have 80W wired charging, down from the 100W speeds of the Chinese edition. The good news is that apparently the rest of the world is also getting the 100W version, so it’s only US buyers who’ll be short-changed with (slightly) slower charging. Official marketing images of the phone show it in green and black, the same base colours the OnePlus 10 Pro and 10T are available in. Here it is in green, alongside the also-announced OnePlus Buds Pro 2: The green finish looks like it’s glossy whereas the black version is matt. OnePlus says the new circular camera housing is inspired by black holes. Oo er. The renders are certainly attractive, but it continues the company’s history of mixing up the design of its flagship phones between generations, getting ride of the curved square design on the 10 Pro and 10T. With Hasselblad branding you can also expect the phone to have improved optics over the 10T, and have similar software features as the 10 Pro that improved the camera app, such as exclusive filters and aspect ratios with which to shoot. We’ll have to wait until 7 February for complete information on the phone and its full global launch, where it will likely sell in the USA, UK, Europe, and India at least.
